You can heliski any number of days. Typical heli-skiing packages are 3, 4 and 7 days. But other options exist.
Your heliskiing triip can travel through Vancouver, Calgary, Kelowna or Spokane. The next leg can be plane, bus, van, rental car or helicopter.
You can opt for heliskiing trees, high alpine / glaciers or a combination.
Heliskiing in Canada includes the many mountain ranges including Coast Mountains, Selkirks, Purcells, Monashees, Rockies, Skeena and more.
Usually, you can heliski from late December to mid April in Canada. Conditions vary greatly heliskiing early and late season.
Heliskiing pricing is by the vertical foot/meter. You can buy a package including a certain number of vertical feet, then pay for extra. You can purchase unlimited vertical. Some heliski operators offer hybrids of the two models.
Heliski lodging and amenities vary significantly, from pampered to rustic.
You can ski helicopters that hold 4, 5, 6, 10 or 11 guests. Each helicopter can service multiple heliski groups, typically 3 or 4. Private heliskiing dedicates one helicopter to one group. Some heliski in two groups.
